Khachardzan community is located in Tavush region and includes Khachardzan and Geghatap villages. The population is around 480 people. who are mostly busy in cattle breeding. This bordering village is in the shore of the river. The population is partly immigrated from Azerbaijan. The community got its name from the cross stones preserved here. Historical monuments of the village include the chapel of Khachi Tap as well as the tomb from 2nd -1st millennium B.C..

Within Hayastan All Armenian Fund projects a new building was built in Khachardzan, which includes a dispensary and a multifunctional community hall. There is also a school in the village, but it was in dilapidated condition.


Thus Hayastan All Armenian Fund took the responsibility to renovate the school. The renovations include repaired and repainted exterior walls; granite-tile flooring throughout the corridors, hall, library and refurbished balconies. The the engineering communications were replaced the building. In addition, awnings were installed above all windows and balconies, and a fence was built around the school compound.
