The Abovyan town hospital is situated in a three-storied building. The total area of the facility is 4500 m². The maternity department is located on the third floor and comprises of the operating rooms, delivery and premature born infants’ ward. All the facilities were in a dilapidated state and did not provide even the most basic sanitary conditions.
The project included renovation of the maternity compartment with its operating rooms, delivery and premature born infants’ wards. The total area renovated was 660 m². Within the frames of this project, the floors have been renovated, new doors and windows have replaced the existing old wooden ones, new power transmission and engineering communication systems have been installed. The project also included the construction of new lavatories and installation of sanitary units.


The second floor of hospital has also been reconstructed.


An area of 360 m² has been renovated within this initiative. The wards, doctors and nurses rooms, maternity and prenatal rooms, as well as research rooms of the second floor have been renovated.
