Hayastan All Armenian Fund continues to realize projects in Khachardzan village, which have brought about a tremendous positive shift in the life of the community members. Within a newly launched initiative, Hayastan All Armenian Fund has started the reconstruction of the central road of the village. Starting from Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway, the road will have the length of about 1km and will be 6m wide. It will come to replace the old road, which was in a fully dilapidated condition. Currently, the levelling, widening and other earthworks are underway.
Thanks to the contribution of the Argentinean-Armenian benefactors, this village has made amazing progress and is in line to become one of the most modernized villages in Armenia. Since 2013, the Fund, with the support of the Argentinean-Armenian benefactors, has built a health care point, an events hall, a sports-complex, established a garden and greenhouses, as well as renovated the village school and water supply network. Besides, many of the villagers are beneficiaries of social assistance and agricultural projects of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund. These projects are essential in promoting rural development and stable income opportunities for households.
Khachardzan village is located on the bank of Getik River. The name of the community is derived from the ancient khachkars found in and around the village. Currently, the village has 420 residents, the majority of them - refugees from Azerbaijan.
