Project

Through the generous sponsorship and logistical support of the government of India, Hayastan All Armenian Fund has established computer labs in schools across Armenia, The beneficiaries of the latest project were all 50 schools of Vayots Dzor region, with a total student population of about 6,800.
Under the initiative, every classroom was provided with furniture, computer equipment, and an internal network, and linked to the Internet. In addition, the schools’ IT instructors received advanced trainings, made possible by a partnership between the Fund and the Vayots Dzor regional administration.
At the end of the project, on June 22, a press conference was held with participation of the Ambassador of India to Armenia Yogeshvar Sangvan, Minister of Education of Armenia Levon Mkrtchyan and the Executive Director of Hayastan All Armenian Fund Ara Vardanyan, who summed up the results of the project and talked about the cooperation between the governments of India and Armenia and Hayastan All Armenian Fund for the last 8 years.
The first joint program was launched in 2009, as a result of which the school of Artsni village in Lori region was extensively renovated and transformed into a beautiful campus. The second large-scale project, implemented in 2012, resulted in the establishment of computer labs in all 72 schools of Tavush region.
Speaking about the far-reaching collaboration between the Indian government and the Fund, the Ambassador expressed commitment on behalf of Indian government to carry out similar projects in other regions of Armenia.
