Shosh village is situated 4km to the south-east from Shushi, on the right bank of the Karkar River, 26km away from Askeran regional administrative center and 8km away from Stepanakert. The population of the village is 610. Two churches were preserved (15-17 centuries) in this ancient settlement of Artsakh. Thanks to the continuous support of Hayastan All Armenian Fund, Shosh village has a community center (2015), a school (2005-2014), school minibus (2011) and a potable water distribution network (2000).


The fund, with the sponsorship of Argentinian Armenian benefactors Devecyan, Ekserciyan and Somsiroglu families, began the construction of a new kindergarten for the children of Shosh village. The future kindergarten which will accommodate up to 50 children, will have two bedrooms, two playing rooms, a dressing room, a laundry, a boiling room, administrative offices and an outdoor playground.
