New kindergarten opens in Aghtsk, Armenia

On May 23, a newly-constructed kindergarten was unveiled in Aghtsk, a village in Armenia’s Aragatsotn Region. Guests attending the opening ceremony included a delegation from the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, led by Executive Director Ara Vardanyan and comprising chairpersons and representatives of the Fund’s affiliates in 19 countries. The kindergarten was built by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, with the financial support of its British affiliate․ The renovation of the kindergarten grounds was co-funded by the Armenian Territorial Development Fund.

The state-of-the-art kindergarten is fully equipped to provide a nurturing and fun environment for the education and leisure of children. The amenities include bright and spacious classrooms and naprooms, a gym, a playroom, and a computer room, as well as an outdoor playground. The campus is designed for up to 90 students.

With its longstanding commitment to the education and well-being of children and teenagers, the British-Armenian community continues to support projects in mainly the education and health spheres. Projects implemented in recent years with British-Armenian support include the construction of the kindergarten of Sasunik, a village in the Aragatsotn Region; and the renovation of the Boarding School of Shengavit, in Yerevan.
