Goris is a town of 23,000 in Armenia’s Syunik region. It is about 240 km away from Armenia’s capital Yerevan and 70 km from the Syunik regional administrative center Kapan.
Within the frames of this project,a new two-storey cardiology center is constructed. The hospital has a main ward with 16 beds, a polyclinic capable of accommodating 20 ambulatory patients per day, and central heating – vital for normal functioning of a facility of this kind. In addition, the hospital surrounding areas went under extensive modification and upgrade.
The availability of a modern and well equipped cardiology center in Syunik means that patients in this region as well as from Artsakh will have access to high-quality healthcare locally and have no longer need to travel to Yerevan to receive adequate treatment.
