"Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund Convenes its Annual Summit
Glendale, CA - The Board of Trustees of "Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund
held its annual general meeting in Yerevan on May 6, 2004. The meeting
was part of a week-long summit (May 4th-May 11th) which brought together
representatives of the Fund's eighteen overseas affiliates from Canada,
South America, Europe, the Middle East and the United States.
President of the Republic of Armenia and Chairman of the Board of
Trustees of "Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund, H.E. Robert Kocharian, and the
President of Nagorno Karabakh Republic H.E. Arkady Ghoukasian
participated in the sessions and activities.
ISO 9001 certificate handed over to the Hayastan All-Armenian Funds Armenian American Housing manufacturing entity
Armenian American Housing manufacturing entity (HATM) has received ISO -9001 -2004 certification. The certificate was handed over to the Entity during the solemn ceremony that took place on May 2004 in Gyumri. The HATM is the first enterprise in the Shirak Marz of Armenia to attain this certification.
Writers Union appeals to the Hayastan All Armenian Fund for assistance
Today Shushi, which at a time used to be a prosperous city with its huge intellectual potential, has serious problems to solve in terms of reestablishing favorable conditions for the creative traditions and creative people to work. To expedite the settlement of these issues, too, the president of the Writers Union of Armenia, Levon Ananyan, has turned to the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund for the support.

From 22nd till 27th May at the National Art Museum of Armenia a sales exhibition will be organized

On 14th May at the hall of the musical school after Sarajyan at the opening ceremony of the Kamerton republic contest-festival of the young musicians-players was held.
Naira Melkoumian's meeting with the 2004 RA President Award Winners
On 14th May the Hayastan all-Armenian Fund executive director, Naira Melkumyan received the scientists and artists awarded with the presidential premium for this year.
Hayastan All Armenian Fund extends its assistance to the Norq orphanage
The "Children house" of Yerevan, situated in Norq, has several decades of history, being constructed in 1937. This orphanage is made for children aged under 6, who nowadays are about 80 at the orphanage, and during the year up to 150 children are sheltered in here. Upon becoming 6 years old, the children are assigned to other orphanages in Yerevan, Gavar, Gyumri, etc. (the latter is for the children suffering different nervous disturbances).
Visit to Artsakh
From 8th to 10th May a group of representatives of the Hayastan All-Armenian Funds Board of Trustees and of the Local Committees were in Artsakh. During their visit they were given an opportunity to see Stepanakert polyclinic
The RA President Award, initiated by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and financed by the Robert Boghossyan and Sons Fund, is granted every year for the essential contribution to Armenian science and culture. On May 7, the annual awarding ceremony took place at the Residence of the RA President.
Hayastan All Armenian Fund 's 2003 Financial Reports are published
On a treshold of the 13th Annual Meeting of the "Hayastan" Fund Board of Trustees, the Grand Thornthon Amyot International Audit Company has issued the Fund annual audit report.
