Hayastan Fund fundraising dinner secured pledges of more than $12 millionOn November 8, Hayastan All-Armenian Fund annual fundraising dinner took place in Moscow. Nagorno-Karabakh President, Hayastan Fund Board of Trustees member Bako Sahakyan, National Assembly speaker of the Republic of Armenia, Hayastan Fund Board of Trustees member Hovik Abrahamyan, primate of the New Nakhichevan and Russian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, bishop Ezras Nersisyan, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Russian Federation Oleg Yessayan, executive director of the Hayastan All-Armenian fund Ara Vardanyan, other officials, as well as around 40 Russia-based Armenian businessmen took part in the gala-dinner. At the end of the event pledges of U.S $12 million 100 thousand was registered.
The list of the participating donors and donations will be made public following the Telethon 2012.
The Funds raised through Telethon 2012 will be used to construct community centers in rural communities of Armenia and Artsakh. 10 percent of the total funds will be directed to the dire needs of the Syrian Armenians.
