President Serzh Sargsyan visited Hayastan All-Armenian Fund
president.amThe Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, President Serzh Sargsyan visited today the office of the Fund on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Fund. The President of Armenia toured the premise of the Fund, familiarized with the working conditions in the departments, their works, and conversed with the staff. Later, the President of Armenia conducted a meeting with the leadership of the Fund. Serzh Sargsyan extended his congratulations on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Hayastan Fund, spoke about the road full of challenges the Fund has traveled since its creation with our people and the state, about its mission to help Armenia and Artsakh overcome difficulties and hardships and stand by the people. “Through these years, the Fund has been able through its activities first of all to solve problems ranging from the reconstruction of the devastated villages to the elimination of the consequences of the earthquake, building roads between our two Armenian states, schools, and kindergartens,” said the President and underscored that through the united efforts of the entire Armenian nation as well as through the support of individual benefactors, the Fund all these years has been true to its mission.
The President of Armenia highlighted the activities of the Board of Trustees of the Fund, which in his words is a unique mechanism which unites the leaderships of Armenia and Artsakh, leaders of the Armenian Churches, main Armenian benevolent establishments and representatives of local structures. It defines the areas of the Fund’s activities and pursues the implementation of all pre-set programs.
“It is commendable that the Fund has always been working transparently and at each meeting, a specially designated counting board is presenting the assessment on the Fund’s activities.
There is no doubt that the Fund’s driving force are local structures, people, who using their own personal time and abilities, have been able to create the basis which today allows the Fund to carry out its activities.
I believe because of them, the Fund has become a trustworthy structure. There are a few funds that have so many donors – 700,000, which means trust of seven hundred thousand people.
I am deeply confident that the Fund should continue its work, as one of the most important pan-Armenian structures.
We, as a state, regardless of the road we’ve travelled, still face multiple challenges. There are challenges which can be met only through the active work of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.
I once again congratulate you and express gratitude for your work. It is truly gratifying that there are individuals at the Fund – donors as well as representatives of the local structure, and the members of the Board of Trustees, who have been there from the beginning and remain the Fund’s true friends,” said President Sargsyan.
