Serzh Sargsyan, President of the Republic of Armenia: congratulations on the Hayastan Fund 25th anniversaryThe Hayastan All-Armenian Fund turns 25 this year — a significant milestone for the unity of Armenia, Artsakh, and the diaspora.
Today, with its prolific and purposive work, the Fund continues to fulfill its extraordinary mission while enjoying the support and trust of our people. A testament to this is the fact that the Fund has 25 affiliates in 22 countries. Equally noteworthy is the organization’s nonpartisan nature, which makes it possible to bring together and join all of our ideas, capabilities, and resources, thereby helping unify and strengthen Armenia, Artsakh, and the diaspora.
The projects which the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund has implemented in the past 25 years are truly impressive, in terms of quantity and quality alike. They include the Winter Humanitarian Project — the Fund’s first major initiative — through which vital social assistance was provided to the people of Armenia between 1992 and 1995; the housing-assistance program through which homes were built for numerous families in Gyumri, Vanadzor, Stepanavan, and Spitak that had become homeless as a result of the 1988 earthquake; and the construction of highways linking Goris and Stepanakert, the north and south of Artsakh, and Vardenis and Martakert, all functioning as lifelines that have enabled our people to resolve key issues of vital economic and strategic significance.
As one of the most important and effective structures for realizing the collective goals of our nation, the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund continues to grow and evolve, consistently enhancing its mechanisms and activities.
I am confident that the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund will continue its patriotic work well into the future, inspiring us all with its wonderful projects, dynamic presence, and palpable results.
