Letter of Blessing from His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Hayastan Fund
From the mother monastery of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia in Antelias, we salute the Board of Trustees, Executive Directorate, and worldwide staff of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund with our pontifical blessings, warm Christian love, and ardent patriotic sentiments.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund. Thus the Fund was launched immediately following the restoration of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, in order to enable our compatriots — particularly those in the diaspora — to provide tangible support for efforts of strengthening the homeland. Despite the dire circumstances of those days, the Fund quickly organized and launched its activities. It has since devised and implemented a vast array of projects in support of Armenia and Karabakh, encompassing humanitarian assistance, economic and infrastructure development, education, culture, and other spheres.

We regard the work of the Fund in the past 25 years as a mission in the full sense of the word, given its essence, depth, and goals. Indeed, the Fund’s projects, aimed at benefiting the strengthening of the various structures of the Republic of Armenia, the bolstering of Artsakh’s independence, the improvement of the daily lives of the Armenian people, and the ongoing social, economic, and cultural development of the homeland, have been anything but ordinary. Accordingly, these projects have been carried out with not only outstanding professionalism, transparency, and accountability, but also, in particular, utmost awareness of and dedication to the fulfillment of a homeland-building mission unlike any other.

As we look back at the accomplishments of the Fund in the past quarter century, we can rightfully express profound admiration for the sons and daughters of our nation who took part in the noble endeavor of helping strengthen our homeland through the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund. Bravo to all those — whether they be trustees, executive directors, or staff members across the globe — who contributed time and talent to the work of the Fund.

Naturally, the 25th anniversary of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund is an opportunity for celebrating its wide-ranging achievements. Yet this milestone should also function as a reminder and an impetus to continue the Fund’s mission with renewed commitment. As Armenia and Karabakh face a great many challenges, we view the implementation of ever-newer projects toward the strengthening of the homeland as absolutely imperative. Therefore, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, we call on our compatriots to continue to bring their active and generous participation to the work of the Fund.

We pray that Almighty God always protects our homeland from evil and misfortune, and grants much success to the patriotic mission of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.

Aram I, Catholicos of the
Great House of Cilicia
