2016 President’s Youth Prize classical-music competitions concludedFrom March 20 to 25, the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund held Classical-music competitions in the 2016 President’s Youth Prize Vocal Art and Instrumental Performance nominations, at Komitas Museum-Institute. Four instrumentalists and twelve vocalists have been selected as finalists from a pool of 30 applicants. Out of the outstanding vocalists and instrumentalists, the jury will select the winners in consultation with the president of the Republic of Armenia. Two winners in each nomination will receive prizes comprising a medal, a certificate of achievement, and a monetary award. President Serzh Sargsyan himself will hand out the prizes and congratulate the winners on May 26 during an awards ceremony at the RA Presidential Palace.
Vocalists competing in the final round were Gor Salnazaryan, Gagik Vardanyan, Gosh Sargsyan, Hovhannes Andreasyan, Sargis Bazhbeuk-Meliqyan, Irina Gulambaryan, Tatevik Evriyan, Galina Tsolakyan, Marianna Martirosyan, Julietta Aleksanyan, Narek Kochinyan, and Nune Grigoryan.
Instrumentalists competing in the final round were Davit Bakhshiyan, Azat Harutyunyan, Roman Namalyan, and Arsen Zakaryan.
